Comment: My dumb a** was out BBQing on the back deck and had the grill to close to the siding and went inside prepping the chicken and when I came out, the grill had melted the siding. Was I pissed at myself, and sick to my stomach. My husband was pissed, so we called and talked with Troy, and he came out and looked at it and told me it wasn't really that bad, but it would just take some time to fix it, more labor than parts. Troy worked with my insurance and got some of it covered and impressed my husband. I came home yesterday from work and was surprised it was all fixed. If I didn't know any better, I wouldn't even know there had been a problem. There's just a slight color difference and Troy told me that once the sun works on it, it will fade and probably match 100%. So, no more BBQ grills next to the house because my husband had Troy build me a beautiful BBQ area with a concrete pad and kitchen counter area which was his little surprise to me.

Comment: This is a weird one, my garage door opener quit working, so I called ********* (redacted) because I heard them on the radio. They told me the main controller board was bad and it would be $250 to replace it. I said, not thanks because I could just purchase a new opener. The door would work if I pushed the button inside, but none of the remotes worked or worked sporadically. I changed battlers and everything, so it seemed logical it was bad. I went to Lowes and bought a new one and they recommended I have Virgina's install it. Troy came out and I told him what I wanted, and he looked at my old one and said it wasn't working because I had put in the wrong light builds. I though he was pulling my leg, so he replaced the bulbs, and it works great. He said certain LED bulbs interfere with the signal. He was right, I took my unopened box back to Lowes. Best part, there was no charge and I guess these guys know what they're doing.

Comment: Had them do some river rock and landscape timbers around my rental property. Looks nice, oh and they poured a new sidewalk for me too. I wish they did blacktop work, but Troy told me they do everything but that. It's so hard to find someone, half the people don't speak English nor return phone calls.

Comment: I hired someone else to do my roof and they f****** it up and never completed it and the section they did do was leaking. I had to have Virginia's come out and fix and finish it. Troy told me it would have been cheaper to just have him do it; but he saved me as much money as he could by reusing as much as he could from the other guys. I should have known something was fishy because the other roofers had me pull the building permit. I guess there's a lot of roofers running around but you have to be licensed and bonded to pull a building permit unless you're the homeowner. That's why they had me get the permit.

Comment: My mother lives in our old home and I'm states away and since my dad past she really doesn't have anyone to help her out. Eventually, she'll need to move to an assisted living facility, but until then she likes her independent life with her little dog. She's active in her Church and was getting some 'supposedly good Christians' to help her. I suspected she was possibly being taken advantage of, so I had these guys come check on a few things and I was glad I did. They took care of all her issues and charged me less than what those 'supposed Christians' wanted. Also, when talking with the owner, he was very understanding and even offered to stop by and check on mom if I ever had any worries. I thought that was nice to know. It's nice that there are still honest people helping others out of the kindness of their heart.

Comment: I just had my roof replaced and that windstorm we had blew off shingles. The roof was installed by someone else, and they would NOT warrant the work, so I called Virgina's. Ashton came out and looked at it and said that the other installers only nailed the shingles with 4 nails in each shingle instead of 6; plus, they didn't use ice and water shield or install the flashing properly. I'm pissed because Ashton states it all has to come off and be redone. He showed me pictures and I see what he means. I just wish I would have gone with these guys to begin with.

Comment: I had a fire and my insurance company recommended them. Great job, no issues. Thank goodness I used these guys because I was going to use someone else before my agent told me to call these guys. If I would have used who I was going to use, it wouldn't have been insurable because the other contractor wasn't licensed and bonded. Comment: Don't be fooled by someone giving a cheaper 'Proposal' because they low ball you to get the job and then charge you more money. Also, look at the shingle they're putting on, cheap shingles might save you some money, but a better shingle isn't much more. I do electrical and construction work, so I know a lot of these guys, but I don't do roofs. The average roof, in Kankakee is about $14k - $20k, I did use Larry whenever I needed a roof in the past, but he's doing roofs now for the Lord. I called around and got some estimates and one was about $3k less than the average. Then I stumbled into these guys at the Legion; someone said they worked with Larry years ago. I talked with Troy, asked for an estimate and he hit the numbers right where I was estimating. I hired them and no regrets. I'd like to think my friend Larry was smiling down on me and made it all happen.
